Embracing the rich cultural diversity in our community
ANCD recognizes the importance of community engagement and cultural integration, hence for over 20 years the Association had annually participated in the Festival of Nations, a cultural presentation put together by a group of local multiethnic nationality organizations, including the ANCD, for the purpose of celebrating art and culture in the Capital District of New York. The group’s mission is to promote cultural diversity. Activities marking the event include the Parade of Nations, the Crowning of Miss Festival of Nations, Indigenous Dances/Music, Ethnic Foods, and Crafts, etc. Thousands of people from diverse backgrounds attend this event annually.
